On the nose the wine has aromas of dried herbs, cedar, tar, leather and chocolate spice. On the palate, the medium body wine has red fruit flavors of plum, currant and Bing cherry. Medium tannins give the wine a nice finish of raspberry, chocolate and espresso.
Pairs nicely with hearty dishes such as herbed lamb or beef, smoked meats, red sauces and aged cheeses.

WINE MAKING PROCESS: The grapes were hand-picked in mid October. The grapes were stemmed but left as whole berries. Macerated on the skins 9 days. Barrel aged in 2nd year French oak barrel for 36 months.
