Tasting Notes
Nebbiolo (Nebby-Oh-low) is a very rare grape for Washington state, with less than 10 acres planted. The natural tannins from the Nebbiolo grape give this wine some
momentum. Flavors of Blackberry, cherry and spice fill the palate. The wine has a nice finish of black tea and cocoa.
Pairs nicely with rustic dishes such as eggplant Parmesan, pot roast, mushroom risotto and beef medallions.

2012 Nebbiolo
This Nebbiolo wine is true to a “Barolo” style. We barrel aged this wine 30 months in a mixture of French and Hungarian oak barrels. 45% of the oak was new French oak. The wine was then bottle aged for a year and a half.
Nebbiolo is very rare in Washington. Overall, there might be 6-8 acres total in production. This is the last vintage of our Nebbiolo. Unfortunately the grape grower pulled out the vines and planted Cabernet Sauvignon. Only 225 cases produced
