On the nose the wine has aromas of cedar, tar, leather and chocolate spice. On the palate, the medium body wine has red fruit flavors of plum, currant and rhubarb. Medium tannins give the wine a nice finish of raspberry, chocolate and espresso.
Pairs nicely with herbed chicken or beef, savory dishes, red sauces, pesto and gourmet pizza.

PRODUCTION: 65 cases (780 bottles)
WINE MAKING PROCESS: The grapes were hand-picked in late September. The grapes were stemmed but left as whole berries. Fermented on the skins 15 days. Barrel aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, one of which was new.
