2018 Barbera Barrel Select
FINISHED WINE: 100% Barbera VINEYARD: Lonesome Spring Ranch Yakima Valley
PRODUCTION: 24 cases (312 bottles)
WINE MAKING PROCESS: The grapes were hand-picked in late September. The grapes stemmed but not crushed, leaving them whole berries. The grapes were cold soaked for 36 hours to stabilize color. Fermentation on the skins was for an extended period of time at 30 days. The wine was pressed and then barrel aged in a 2nd year French oak barrel for 36 months.
