The nose has hints of cherry, pomegranate, crushed leaf and savory herbs. The wine has medium tannins with fruit flavors of cherry and fig. The finish has hints of juicy fruit, black tea with a hint of sweetness. Pairs nicely with red sauces, beef and gourmet pizza.

2022 Sangiovese
Our Sangiovese with its natural acidity and moderate tannins is ideal for enjoying by itself or with a hearty meal as well. The clone is Brunello di Montalcino,
Sangiovese is the most planted red grape in Italy. This particular clone is the Brunello Clone, a rare clone for Washington, known for being age worth and showing depth and structure.
FINISHED WINE: 100% Sangiovese
VINEYARD: Ginkgo Forest Vineyards Wahluke Slope
PRODUCTION: 85 cases ( 1000 bottles)
WINE MAKING PROCESS: The grapes were hand-picked in early October. 100% of the grapes crushed and stemmed. The crushed grapes were coal soaked for 36 hours to stabilize color. Fermentation on the skins was for an extended period of time at 150 days. The wine was pressed and barrel aged 24 months. 50% of the barrels were new French oak.
